Kommunalkino City 46

The Kommunalkino City 46 says about itself:

“The great works of international filmmakers from all corners of the world that have no place in mainstream cinema are close to our hearts. In a society that is growing ever closer together, these films can be like windows into foreign worlds. We present all films in the original language with subtitles, providing insights into many cultures and languages. The films are carefully selected by us. Film series present countries and themes across all genres, selected from current works and 125 years of film history. Directors are always available to answer questions and invite experts and committed people to exchange ideas. CITY 46 is more than just a movie theater – as is the basic idea of municipal film work.
The Kommunalkino Bremen was founded in 1974 by a few film enthusiasts as an association to promote cinema culture. And we are not alone: more than 150 venues nationwide are organized in the Bundesverband kommunale Filmarbeit e.V. (Federal Association of Communal Film Work).”
