Festival Award Ceremony
On April 14, the Kleine Haus of the Theater Bremen invites you to the festive award ceremony of the Filmfest Bremen. After four exciting and eventful days, the most outstanding films will be awarded prizes in four competitions, both by a renowned jury of experts and by public vote.
German premieres: A diverse selection of high-quality films from various countries will be presented. Of 82 films, 11 were selected for the competition, including two documentaries. The audience rates films after each screening using a 5-point system.
Bremen & Umzu: Local and international filmmakers show their works that have a connection to Bremen and the surrounding area and are given a platform for networking. 22 short and medium-length films and 6 feature-length films compete for audience awards such as “Best Bremen Film” and “Best Lower Saxony Film”.
Humor/Satire: The films in competition illuminate all facets of this diverse genre. 22 short and medium-length films and 7 feature-length films compete for audience awards such as “Best Feature Film” and “Best Short Film”.
Innovation: This competition category focuses on unusual narrative styles and artistic experiments. 16 short films and 9 feature-length films were submitted to compete for the awards for “Best Narrative Innovation” or “Best Visual Innovation”.
