This film is probably an “ineffective” confession, yet it is also a tender experiment in intimacy. The director invites her grandmother to participate in her artwork by reading a poem. As the grandmother repeatedly practices these Chinese characters, she doesn’t realize that they have already phonetically turned into English as they pass through her lips. In this way, the director dares to confront, for the first time, the feelings and emotions she has long hidden from her grandmother.
