Beyond Representation – New Storytellers in German-Language Cinema

  • Language: German

  • Panel

Showtime

Saturday, 18. April - 15:30

Café NOON

Post-migrant filmmakers are increasingly telling their stories in a self-determined, aesthetically independent way, transcending traditional labels.

What new visual languages, cultural identities and artistic approaches are emerging from this? And how might this give rise to a cinema that does not merely react, but actively shapes the landscape?

A conversation about attitude, aesthetics and creative resistance – and the question of how a new, polyphonic cinema is emerging.

Following the event (4.30–6 pm):

The Muslim-German Film Association (MDFV) invites you to an open get-together over tea, coffee and conversation – to get to know one another, network and reflect together.
