GRASS GROWS FROM THE MIDDLE – THINKING LIKE GRASS
This is a fragmentary attempt to explore the political potential of grasses, which, in purely biological terms, unlike many other plants, grow not from the root or the tip but from their own centre. The short film thus explores the analogies to human and animal hair and thus dares to make a deconstructive attempt on various norms of beauty and design as well as ethics of use and exploitation. What is allowed to grow in our society and what has to be trimmed, shaved, cut and domesticated?
