The water is literally up to our necks. It is only fitting then, that in a Dutch coastal town, people are buried up to their necks in mud as an act of sacrifice. And in an amusing stop-motion film, we are shown how overexploitation and a throw-away mentality come crashing down on us in a boomerang effect. Or we follow a singing duo through the Wadden Sea and AI may be able to work poetically, but ultimately, taking action is on us – just like Anna, who tries to save the here and now while trapped in a dystopian future.
