TIME AFTER TIME – Short Films Innovation #1
Film is a medium of time. And time is relative – not only in Einstein’s sense. It is never over, nor is it the same for one person as it is for another. The films in this program show what the poetry of cinema is capable of in this regard. They visualize the felt past in a townhouse, create constellations of characters who live in several times simultaneously or dissolve stringent narration and space altogether. All of this is less abstract than it sounds, and also delights us with karaoke numbers, handmade stop-motion animation, and a talking horse.
