J.J. (YOUNG JANSEN)
The starting point for the animated short film is Horst Janssen’s etching cycle “Guten Morgen Mappe” (Good Morning Folder) from 1959, which the artist created for his wife Verena. Following the expressive drawing style characteristic of Janssen’s early work, the story unfolds in an associative manner. It thematises the tragic course of the relationship, which was initially characterised by longing and passion, then visibly by obsession and destruction.
