Sid, a student, is terminally ill and has only a few months to live. During the semester break, he returns to the place of his childhood and his parents’ house together with his childhood friends to experience a few last beautiful moments with his family and best friends. He has a sudden intuition about how he can connect with his friends for eternity and preserve shared memories. But then he meets Lily, whom he does not confide in for the time being and only enjoys the unselfconscious two hours of talking. But the day of farewell is approaching…
Kindling is based on the director’s personal experiences and is a heartwarming and happy film about saying goodbye, which will be remembered above all for the convincing acting of actors George Somner (Sex Education), Wilson Mbomio (The Witcher) and Mia McKenna-Bruce (Persuasion). The director and the actors will be present at the European premiere in Bremen.
