LIBERATED SPACE
The film follows four people from the former Buntentor women’s project in Bremen. Through conversations and private archival material, we immerse into the turbulent time of the early 1990s. We see how the women independently created a space for themselves—with self-help workshops, art projects, and events. We also witness the struggle to preserve the project and examine what remains of their vision today. Three of them engage in dialogue with young people from a community project in a rural area to learn how project life is managed today. Alongside many similarities, significant differences also emerge.
