People from the Elbe-Weser region are presented in 14 episodes – a portrayal of society at a historically significant moment. The coronavirus pandemic, Russia’s war in Europe, the climate crisis, inflation and an uncertain economic future provide a diffuse framework for many questions: Who are we? Where do we come from? And where do we want to go? What holds our society together? What defines our home? Our protagonists’ stories create hope, identity and motivation because they have one thing in common: through their artistic and social work, they strengthen society’s unity.
