SchauburgWhat makes Bremen and Bremerhaven special? Where do their strengths lie – whether obvious or hidden? Under the motto “Many strengths, one state” (Viele Stärken, ein Land), WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH invites filmmakers, creative professionals and anyone with a passion for motion pictures to capture their personal perspective on Germany’s smallest state in a short film.
The competition is part of the Filmfest Bremen.
An occasion with perspective: Bremen is preparing for German Unity Day
In 2026, Bremen will host the main celebrations for German Unity Day. Even in the run-up to the event, attention is turning to the federal state and its two cities – Bremen and Bremerhaven. The short film award takes this occasion as an opportunity to showcase individual perspectives and stories from both cities. The film entries are not intended to provide tourist postcard images, but rather to provide space for personal perspectives, special places, small experiences and big ideas.
Felix Krömer will host the evening, followed by the award ceremony for the best films among the entries.
