Theater Bremen

The Theater Bremen says about itself:

“Theater Bremen is a municipal theater with supra-regional significance. It sees itself as a public place for aesthetic and political reflection on the problems, risks, freedoms and moments of happiness of modern urban experience.
It comprises four sections: music theater, drama, dance and children’s and youth theater with the four venues Theater am Goetheplatz, Kleines Haus, Brauhaus and Brauhauskeller.
More than 30 premieres with 600 performances are on the program each season, as well as concerts and parties.
Direct dialog with the audience is sought in the introductions to the plays, audience discussions after the performances and discussion series.”

“The Brauhaus is the venue for Theater Bremen’s children’s and youth theater division. Performances for school classes take place here in the mornings and performances for children, young people and their families in the evenings and at weekends. The Brauhaus is a spatial stage and the productions that are created in it always surprise the audience with new situations. What is certain is that the audience is always close to the action on stage.”
